    Child seat install

    Hello,

We just purchased a 1990 GW and I am wondering if anyone can give their advice on installing a Child seat?

    Best,
    Kevin

Centered in rear is typically suggested.
I have one in my J10 in the front, it actually locks in very well....
My boys favorite words while riding.......
"Rock n Roll Daddy, turn on some Rock n Roll"
    and
"Faster, Faster Daddy.......I wanna go wheely fast!"

    lol.....kids.
.....Wish it was a Hilfiger Edition.....

I have a 89 and installed our car seat in the center of the back seat, lap belt though the back slot for it / its very tight ,does yours have the anchor stap at the top rear if it does [most do] clip it to the seat belt mount for the lap belt and pull tight .I like to put my knee in the kid seat when pulling the straps tight

            Lap belt is best.

I do the same thing. Especially the knee in the seat to push it down when tightening the belt. That makes a big difference.

I have three little ones all under the age of 5. I am able to fit all three car seats at once. It is a very big chore taking the seats in/out though.

U can also install a shoulder belt on the sides for when the youngster is big enough.

I occasionally have to take my 2 boys on the cab of my J10. Both use 5-point seats because I only have lap belts. I can cinch the lap belts down very tight. It's a tight fit, but it works.

Oh yeah, we're done! There's no room left for a 4th seat and the middle seat under the front armrest is not an option!

I feel safer using the middle with a lap belt. I too would kneel on it but this sucker and it works great to cinch it down.

The seats stay tighter than I could ever get them by kneeling on them.
