    Dash Tailgate Window Switch

    Hey all,

Been doing some heavy googlin on this site, and can't find a post about how to remove the dash switch for the tailgate window. Mine works intermittently and would love to pull it out and give it a good cleaning.

The dash is completely apart and am tackling everything electrical that's fritzy while back there.

It's for an '84, so the switch isn't the rocker type on later models.

Just don't want to make assumptions and break things, and it's hard to see behind there.

    Any help would be awesome!

    Thanks!

It is a unit with the rear defrost switch. Pull both of the end caps off the ends, unplug the wiring from the back (you'll need to remove the AC duct underneath), then one screw holds the switches in from underneath. They pull out from the backside of the dash.
