    1979 Cherokee - Rod Linnett

    The Details.

Engine: Hi Compression 10.5:1 AMC 360 cid rebuilt Feb 1998, 4bbl Holley 600 with vacuum secondaries on a alloy 'Holley Dominator' manifold, 'pre - pollution' camshaft, single 2.5" exhaust, running LPG and petrol. Put in an electric fuel pump to make changing fuels easier.

    Transmission: TH400 in AMC Casing

    Transfer Case: Quadra Trac

Diffs: Front: Dana 44 Full Floating 3.54:1
Rear: Dana 44 Semi Floating 3.54:1

    Tyres: BFG All - Terrains 31.5 x 10.5 R15 LT

    Modifications

Removed original seats - driver's seat was offset to the left and was not centred on the steering wheel. Picked up two front seats from a Datsun Bluebird for $100 and got brackets made to centre the seat with steering wheel. Much more comfy and no more twisted, sore back. The photos show the original seats.

    New radiator and thermostat, housing.

    New ignition leads.

'Flashlube Valvesaver' system for LPG running. Because LPG is dry the valves do not get lubricated nor get the lead from the fuel. This is a 'lead substitute' and seems to do the job.

    Removed tyre carrier - UGLY!!
