What's The Stock Radiator In A 79 Golden Eagle Cherokee?

I keep finding so many different styles of radiator, I can't figure out which my 79 Golden Eagle with HD Cooling is supposed to have.

I see some rads with round top-tanks, others with square and still others with square+chamfer top tanks.

I'm trying to keep my GE as original as possible.

All the FSJs I've gotten have had round tanks.

      Blackstone round tanks.

BJ's has reproductions that seem to be good quality. I put one in my J10 and it looks, fit and works good.

Keep your eye on the overflow tank nipple. On my 79 it's on the wrong side (points to the passenger side, should point to the driver side).

HD cooling (standard with air conditioning) has a 3-row core. Standard cooling was a 2-row core. The original radiators had rounded top tanks but many of the new replacement radiators have squared off top tanks. The transmission oil cooler fittings are different too and often require adapters.

I love how arguements end as soon as Ristow comments. Ristow is right...again.
