no,it aint' smoke. watch the video markus,i can actually see sparks jumping at the 10-14 seconds mark. at the rear cylinder. i see the lighting shadows of the same on the other side later. i can also here it is misfiring from the arcing.
start it up at night and look under the hood.

Ristow: you are right! i cannot idle the Jeep actual, it is after 10:00 pm, but: i checked the sparkplug before the last cylinder, and i could cryyyyyyyyyy, the threadcap on the plug is loosley and the sparkplug is not fitted well in the cylinderhead!!!!
this could be too the explanation why the engine is running rough / hard, similar if there are only 7 or 5 cylinders are working
tomorrow the first is to fix this and check again! (maybe before i drive to work)
on this way i want to say in advance thanks for this perfect analyse!!!!!
god let it be this fu..ing spark plug.
concerning the old oil: it was an Mobil 1 Filter mounted, and i think anybody filled in some additives to do something good for the engine.......let me trie to shoot a pic of the oil.

now go look at seconds 29-30,looking at cylinders 6 and 8. you will see flashes of light around the plugs, indicating sparks jumping there too.
the crappy oil COULD be a cam going bad. not the end of the world. throw a new cam/lifters in,like the performer, and a timing set. can be done in the car.

have retighten the spark plugs caps. all sparks too.
the cables are all nearby new, thinking the last owner changed them all.
the cable into the ignition coil was also not completly on the ground of the coil.
now the noise is a little bit better but still there. my feeling is that the noise is now more like "steel", and it sounds like the source is on the right side (in front of the Jeep).
will do a new video.
now it`s time for step 2: put away the valvehousing. for what do i have to look when its open?
How sounds a "good" 360 engine? does anybode have a video?

Take a wooden broom handle, place one end where you think the noise is coming from, and put your ear next to the other end.
It will act as a stethoscope. You can move it around the engine, alternator, water pump, valve covers, etc and somewhat locate the noise.
I know it sounds crazy, but it does work!

the arcing in that video warrants new wires and plugs.
is it still missing? if it is you 're still arcing.
