Ignition Questions

It's probably been covered on here before but in searching I can't find the answers. I'm installing an MSD 6A Ignition module, new TFI coil, cap, wires, etc. om my '88 woody. I am using the stock distributor with the new cap and adapter. Here are my questions, please help!

1. I want to mount the ignition module on the passenger side. Shorter runs for all of the wiring but mounting space is more limited. Has anyone mounted their module there? Any pictures?
2. When I unplug the stock ignition module, one plug with two wires and one plug with four wires, what happens to those two plugs/harnesses?
3. The MSD installation instructions show hooking up either the white wire to the 8874 harness or the violet/green wires to the magnetic pickup, but never both. In a couple diagrams it says the magnetic pickup is not used. Which do I use? White or violet/green?

Thanks in advance for the help, maybe dumb questions but I want to get it right and not burn anything up!!

1. Mine's on driver side fender. Can't help with this one.
2. Put a little dielectric grease inside the plugs, wrap them in plastic and zip tie them out of the way. You don't need them, but can hook them back up to a Duraspark II box as an emergency backup.
3. The white wire hookup would require you to keep the Duraspark box to trigger the MSD. You don't want to do that. You want to use the violet/green wires to hook up to the distributor harness -- using the 8869 adapter harness from MSD.

Had an MSD mounted on passenger on both if mine(in past) there is plenty of space.
You can see old mounting holes on my 88 in pic. Went in same spot on my 90.

That's the spot I'm looking at, needing to clear AC line that runs right by there but think I can get it done. Thanks!

AC lines were not an issue on either of mine...YMMV
