See and I figured some was people like me just didn't check in that often. I check in more when I'm working on the jeep. That and I figured others sold off their waggies and trucks.
I recently signed up over at the network, but am still more at home here.
FB is nice for social I suppose but terrible for archiving info, and that's mostly what I'm here for - sharing info.'85 Grand Wagoneer

It is fairly quiet here but in my 18 months'ish on here, I have found some serious quality people. I'll take quiet quality over busy crap anyday.
I'm not on Facebook so I guess I don't really have a choice. I know the photobucket thing smoked a lot of users, too.Chuck McTruck 71 J4000

The FB groups are good in their own way. They are good for the quick question/response and to see what people are doing. But, sadly, more times than not, the replies to the questions are not fully accurate. And sometimes when someone asks a question dealing with the engine or carb... the answer is to LS swap it. Nothing is wrong with doing what you want with your rig, but it seems like there is a hard division between LS and ?stock?. The bickering between the two groups gets old real fast. Especially when neither side is offering help or solutions. This group is good because it is basic and to the point. If someone has experience or knows the answer, they will reply. I find that i find more answers here from posting a question or searching old posts.Mike

I can't speak for anyone but myself.
I used to be really active on here but these days I tend to just keep my head down and lurk around reading threads. I'll occasionally comment if I see something interesting. When I was younger and finding my own way I would ask a lot of questions and share a lot of my opinions and methods on here. Now that I am older I have found my own way of doing things and ask questions a lot less. I've become set in my ways and content to do my own thing in my garage and not really share it with anybody unless they ask. My opinions used to start a lot of fights so I tend to keep to myself more now.
I have an account on FSJNetwork but have not checked it in probably close to a year. I'm on a couple of the facebook pages but very rarely do I say or post anything.'72 Jeep Wagoneer Custom, 360 V8
I love how arguements end as soon as Ristow comments. Ristow is right...again.

Not that I am at all active, but lurk and use the search button. I bought the waggy as a snow mobile but now am planning on it as more of a DD when I get home so now have to pay more attention to the "quirks" and get the right parts to get her running more reliably.- Mac

Long time ago.
Sometimes I feel like I've been here since time began but I know that can't be so. There are still those on here who make me look like a little kid. I don't suppose that I'll ever leave this site.
One thing I do miss though is my old subscriptions to 'Jeep Junkie Magazine'. So much 'how to' information with good step by step guidance on getting a specific task done. I still have my old magazines though. That being said, I must admit that I still have some 'Mother Earth News' magazines from way back in the 1970s. About 50 of them, all well read but nicely preserved. Pack Rat maybe??
