What causes this? First pump was good, but had a leak, 2nd pump had a loud tap when installed bou quieted down after awhile. Now put a carter pump in it just as loud, what

oil issue to fuel pump lobe of the cam?, bolts tight? wrong pump?

total crapshoot on getting a decent working part these days.
thanks to global manufacturers often times brand doesn't matter any longer.
as in same part sold under many labels

many times I'll have to do a job 2 or 3 times because of it.
frustrating but zero we can do about it.
