vent window removal

What is the trick removing the vent window from the 79' door? I have removed the window frame from the door but the vent window will not come out..

Why might be a good question, and here is the answer:
I am attempting to make a one piece front door window.
I have figured out how to do this however I have to get things apart first.

All suggestions will be appreciated.

You need to pull the rubber at the bottom of the vent window to get two one screw holding the vent in place.

The tan door is a 79 model, the primer colored door is a 78. The vent windows are different for 78 and 79, but it looks like they bolt in the same. Good luck.

Snowshoe,

I've often thought about a single piece side window for my J10 and am very interested in how you would go about making it work. I live in Arlington, by the way. Thanks
