1990 GW EGR Valve Cali Smog issue

I moved to California and shipped my 1990 Grand Wagoneer with 68k miles out here. I've had Cali catalytic converter, new carb, etc. replaced to pass Cali Smog but mechanic now says EGR valve is bad. That valve is discontinued and is different than most EGR valves because it has 2 nipples, one on top and one on bottom. It's # 5300 6332. I've looked everywhere and am out of options. Any ideas on where to find one?

I am unaware of anyone who makes that EGR any longer.
CA ARB website has a phone# for parts locating assistance.

I was unable to locate a replacement so just swapped on an older style.
However my 90 has passed CA smog several times with an older 88-down EGR valve.

Do you just not use the EGR transducer? The '90 EGR valve also has a port at the base for a transducer.

Correct. No transducer just regular style EGR.
YMMV but it hasn't ever been any issue to pass that way.

If I understand correctly the old ones have a transducer of sorts built in. The transducer on the new ones just passes vacuum once a certain exhaust back pressure is reached. The old ones do this too just with internal springs. I think the reason for the change was that the old ones were a gm part and Chrysler didn't want to keep buying egrs from gm.

Yeah, the smog techs I have gone through, lifted my hood, poked around a little, made sure it was still a 2bbl, then dyno'ed it. You also have to pay for the evap test so make sure you are ready for that. The smog techs see so few carbs anymore, they just don't care enough to crack out the book and start verifying stuff. I have an operational late 70's/early 80's transducer I would sell you if you install an early EGR and have problems with it.

When I got mine running, I had a slight off idle stumble without the transducer. So install the early/single nipple EGR and drive it. If you notice an off idle stumble, install a transducer.

OK, I bought an older style EGR Valve J324 0102/EGR4471/EGV 335 but the mounting base is larger than the '90 EGR Valve that has a broken diaphragm. Does anybody know of another valve # that might work? Thanks!

Did you try to mount it?
The older ones are a bit bigger but bolt up the same.
