78 Cherokee Chief side windows

This rusted shell of a Jeep is headed for scrap soon and it has side windows with pop out vent windows. Could someone please chime in and tell me if this glass should be saved for FSJ enthusiasts? Shipping from SD is cost prohibitive but they could be stuck in a corner for someone that desperately needed them.

This isn't about profit for me, really don't care. I'm working on a couple CJ's and know things can be hard to find.

If they are in good shape, I would recommend you pop them and their seals/interior trim off and save them on a shelf. It's getting tougher to find them in good shape.

Just be prepared to have them around for a loooooong time.
Got a set in the garage rafters probably been there for 10yrs now?
FSJ folks are thrifty lol and nobody wants to even drive to buy them.
I've even offered them to a few guys for FREE, yet still have 'em.

If you have the room I would keep them, Jay Leno might need them some day!

As Tony(babywag) mentioned. Not a high in demand replacement item and a chore to package/ship. Plan on storing them awhile. If you're in or near a decent size city with an auto glass shop, maybe offer them up if they may want them to make a pattern for their files on the condition "they" dispose of them and not return them. Otherwise just let the scrap yard deal with them. Nice PS offering for the FSJ community but some of this stuff just ain't worth keeping.

I sold a set for $125 a couple years ago, plus $80 in shipping. They are typical large FSJ parts. If you are trying to sell it actively, no one needs them or is willing to buy one. If someone "needs" it, they are impossible to find and you pay a mint for them.

Also, a general rule of FSJ parts: the bigger it is, the more expensive it is to ship, the bigger the PITA to package=the farther the person that wants it is. Since you are in South Dakota, most potential buyers will be in Florida, Georgia, or Maine.
