    QT to TH400

Hope everybody is having productive weekend. I'm about to instal my rebuilt QT to my rebuilt TH400. Now I've managed to remember not to allow the case to rest on the trans shaft as it will destroy the seals . Maybe I'm stuck in a rookie jeep wrenching fog but I just don't get how to use the threaded rod that every one talks about. I know I'm using it to support the weight as I slide the case to the trans. I have not bough any rod yet.
Can someone explain how to do this. I just cant wrap my brain around it....
    Thanks

Screw the threaded rod into the two threaded holes on the QT adapter. I assume it is already bolted to the tranny. Lift the QT up to line up and slide it to the adapter. Put the mounting two bolts in on the other side and tightened firm but don't torque down yet. Unscrew the threaded rod and install the two mounting bolts. If they seem a little tight, you may need to loosen the first two mounting bolts a little to get second two bolts out of a bind. Torque the four mounting bolts. Done.

Ah that's right! 2 threaded on the QT, 2 threaded on the tranny.
Makes sense now... Yes wrenching fog.
Thanks for taking the time to help.
