I have the original (to the truck) 1972 AMC color hub caps on a set of 16" wheels from the '60s Gladiators with the 3 clips. My hub caps came off of the original (to the truck) 15" wheels. I also have a set of AMC dog dish hub caps from a '77 J10 with 15" wheels and they are smaller than the early hub caps.

I've agonized on what I want my finished truck to look like and I keep coming back to a more functional / lifted original looking vehicle. I have the solid steel rims and "think" are the type that accept the dog dish - if they aren't then I know I need to go look for them now.
Will go out and check when the sun comes up later.....
