Maybe it is just me, but I am planning on putting the shifter far enough back so i don't have to undo the belts to shift

LOL, I can't help but laugh. I am sorry. Really.
So, next is a Grand Wagoneer right? I mean all dogs love HVAC controlled cab.
edit: and the stake bed looks good by the way.Last edited by fulsizjeep; 02-01-2011, 08:42 PM.Flint

Very Cool Brett
That very rear center rail about 2' long is screaming for the word JEEP
perhaps, or whatever you want. A water jetter would cut it easily I bet.
I would be happy to make the CAD file if you want. Just tell me what
you want it to say and give me the height of the board... If you don't have water jet company I could have my guy do it, at my cost if you want, just pay shipping...
It can be ANYTHING, even shapes...
(PS, i am pretty sure waterjet machines do wood)

It never came to fruition. I PM'd him but havent heard back. No big deal as i rarely run the stakesides as it is.
In other news, i just picked up a 14-bolt for the rear...one step closer to one tons! As a bonus it came with disk brakes but currently has 3.73 gears installed. The guy also included a deroit locker and 5.13's with a full install kit . All that needs to be bought are brake lines and calipers.Kaiser - 1981 J20 115" WB - 5.3l/4l60E/np241c/3-link hp60 spooled/Leafs 14-bolt detroit/5.13's/40's

14-bolt has been acquired! First CLEAN axle ive dealt with...so nice! Spent a few hours sat and sun cleaning up grease from the factory spicer hubs/bearings and and then started wire wheeling the knuckles/breake bracket and spindles. Got one wide done. Need to buy some paint and finish the other side this week. Ill get some pics loaded up sometime this week also. Look me up on FB if you want current photos. My photobucket app isnt working.Kaiser - 1981 J20 115" WB - 5.3l/4l60E/np241c/3-link hp60 spooled/Leafs 14-bolt detroit/5.13's/40's

As promised, some pics finally.
Highsteer arms as arrived from ballistic.
Halfway through with cleaning. Clean on right, dirty on left.
And some random shots of it all cleaned up. Also mixed in are the disk brake brackets and u-bolt plates for the 14-bolt
And the perk of moving to Houston...my buddies shop that he is letting me store my junk in. Complete with 2-post lift!
