Cheap tickets couldn't last forever. Delta Airlines has begun the process of parking half it's fleet and reducing capacity by 75%.

I hope this whole thing passes soon or the layoff won't be far away.

Some of you are clearly still in the denial phase, like I was a few weeks ago. Well, that has changed now. This virus is a very contagious son of a *##!! and it is spreading very quickly. In Belgium, we have 40 confirmed dead on a population of 10.000.000 in just 3 weeks time. In Italy were the government reacted very late on the spread, they have more than 4.000 dead on a population of 60.000.000. Most casualties are old and weak persons, but really, do you want to lose your parents or grandparents because you have denied the problem?
Yesterday, my buddy's neighbor has been taken to the hospital. Strong 50 year old man, never have been sick before.
      Better be careful!

It should be taken very seriously. It will get close to all. And affect everyone. Wether through not a square of TP in sight or no food to eat or a raging fever and wondering if you will make it. It will affect every person out there.

My wife brought home a comment made by someone she had a conversation with early on. The gal said that she thought China released the virus because they were loosing control of their populace. With riots and mass crowds of protest, what a better way to put a stop to all that mayhem. OK another theory that is out there, but I don't put anything at all past those in charge who want to control others.
That goes world wide not just a crowded country in Asia. The economic repercussions from this will haunt us for a very long time. It will hurt many.

Stay well, be well, help those that are trying to help themselves. Unless they are not asking permission. This to shall pass.

California just shut gun stores saying they are "non-essential". But pot dispensaries, Flower shops, Smog stations, and coffee shops are open. Those are essential, I guess.

I just wish folks would wake up and realize govt. isn't the answer for anything.
Private companies ALWAYS do it better.
Too much nonsense/waste/broken systems to deal with "regular" issues let alone something like this.

Everyone be safe, careful, and take care of yourselves.
Ask your neighbors if they need anything and be nice when out and about.
Folks that are still working in stores are stressed and will appreciate it.

Who needs TP when there a huge pile of shop rags in the corner. Only a little bit of wheel bearing grease on them. It's high temp disc brake grease, so it's not like it's that blue sticky marine crap.

                                Interesting Coronavirus Link from Driftwood:

I don't pay any attention to the "confirmed cases" because I think those numbers are useless. Those are slaved to the amount of testing done in an area. What I mean is if I have a population of 100 people and 15 of them are sick, but I only test 5 people, chances are, I will only have 0-1 confirmed cases. But if I test 50 people in my population, chances are I will have 2-3 confirmed cases which "seems" twice as bad. I really only pay attention to the deaths and assume we are all going to get sick from it in the next 3 months (if we didn't already have it).

I think Trump made a good point during his interview on Fox the other day. He said comparing Coronavirus to Spanish Flu in 1918 is not a fair comparison. Coronavirus mortality rate, at this point, is less than >.5% while Spanish flu in 1918 was in the double digits. Meaning, if you get sick with COVID19, chances are you going to live (in fact, you will almost certainly not die...but you might...). However in 1918, if you got the Spanish flu, you might as well cancel Christmas because you have a good chance of dying.
