    Finally finished TFI! (Pics)

The JEGS 8.5mm wires are a AWSOME value. There wire separators look great as well. Just waiting on Team Grand Wagoneer to get me my exhaust plugs!

Removed the fogs and put them on my new brush guard. Hopefully my buddy will come over sometime this week and help me install it. What is the best way to remove the front bumper?

Also, This stuff is awesome for taking care of minor surface rust:

So hows it run? I love my TFI upgrade. I don't have an MSD coil though, just the regular Ford TFI one, but its on the list.

          No manifold plugs yet

And I probably should not run the stock cat with out the AIR injection. Bought a filler pipe today, but it seems the stock exhaust is 2.5 inches, not 2 1/4. YES! I get to back to the parts store tomorrow!

Oh and no comment on my sweet AMC plate? Painted an old aluminum plate frame with Rustoleum "Dark Hunter Green" and it is a very close match!

Sorry, I'm still getting over how spankin clean your engine bay is.

Your engine bay is sweet. The MSD looks sharp.

Find a stack of blocks to prop it up into place. You dont need to remove the bumper, just the 2 bolts in the front that go through the mounting tabs. Get the back 2 in the frame started, and swing the front up into place.

              Nice job...

If you read the article in my sig link, you will see that you can "flip over" the upper radiator hose so that it clears the A/C compressor better. (Basically, connect it "backwards".)

                Nice wiring job!

Ok did not realize I could do that! Guess im gonna try and do that tomorrow! Do you know if the other mounting points bolt to existing bolts, or are there just holes in the frame?

And yeah im super stoked on the MSD parts. Very high quality, and the high performance look was worth the extra cash.

When I replaced the valve cover gaskets 2 days ago I degreased the valve covers. They were remarkably completely rust free. Just that made the engine bay look a whole lot cleaner.

Also, I recommend spraying compressed air around the carb and intake area. Alot of dirt can collect there.

There are threaded holes in the frame for them to mount to. You will need bolts, lock washers and reg washers for install. the front 2 may need longer bolts as well, just depends on whether or not a PO used a 1 piece bumper bolt in a 3 piece bumper...

TFI looks good and love the yellow wires!

On a side note, how did you mount the lights to your pushbar, did you weld on some tabs? Got a pic?

That is an OEM brush guard for a 73+ FSJ. It had light tabs on it from the factory. I dont think the fogs would fit in the stock place with the brush guard mounted up. I can still take a pic if you would like.

You may have to remove your bumper to get the bolts loose - I did. There are three bolts on each bumper bracket that bolt to the frame. I needed to do this as the bumper mounting nuts were corroded somewhat and it was easier to remove the whole thing.

Make sure your spring mounting bolts point inboard or they'll stop you from mounting the brushguard, pushing the brushguard away from the mounting holes on the frame.

I did this last year with a NOS factory guard and the holes line up nicely but a little poking around can save you extra work. Also, make sure there's enough slack in the wires going to the fog lights; mine work but there's not much slack left...

                              The MSD stuff looks great!
