No power on pink wire under hood.
So pull gauge panel and check for 5v?
Where does the 5v come from that feeds the pink?
I believe u said that if the temp, and oil worked, panel was hot?
Ps-I I've benn running it a lot in shop on Jack stands making adjustments,
Last night I took to local store for road test, started running out of fuel
Bout 1/4 mile from store, kinda pated pedal and coasted to pumps.
This engine got around 14mpg in car, closer to 10 now.
I've since added a 2gal fuel can to my bed!

Yep! 5V is created inside the temp gauge. Called the CVR (I don't remember what CVR stands for). You can see it here (pretend the red line does not exist on this picture):

There is a round wiring connector on the back of your gauge panel and that 5V leaves the panel and heads to the bulkhead connector, through the firewall and down the chassis harness. The pins on the gauge panel can come loose. You may have to solder it back on. There is a really good write up in the service manual for fixing gauges. If you go to this link you can probably find yours for free download:

Yeah, I think we all get about 10'ish. Your J20 is a big heavy brick compared to your car. Probably at least 1000#s heavier and almost as aerodynamic as a barn.

Guess I'll pull the panel next and try to find 5v?
I just had it out month ago, reglueing the lens, and cleaning.
        Might have left it loose?
Yes my car weighed bout 3000lbs, according to the web, this thing is 4400lbs?
It will rarely be more than 15miles from home.
The mpg should be offset by fun per gal!
