My 79 Cherokee Budget CTD build aka. Flagstaff

well here is my build i purchased my 79 Cherokee in Flagstaff, Arizona from the previous owners at Vintage Salvage, they were very nice people and easy to deal with. after some negotiation i was able to get it for a little less than the asking price $650.

I used www.uship.com to find a shipper who could get it to Kansas for the best price, as luck would have it i found a Shipper we made the deal and it arrived here on the November 23rd here are some photos.

the above pic was taken after it was running. took about an hour and only has reverse.. the pics below are from fLagstaff

Wow if you still want a decent sidewall your gonna need to run like 54's

Why go through the trouble of the the chryco 360 if your not getting a FI Magnum? Or did you already have the motor?

Yellow cherokees are sweet!

The plan right now is to get it running and driving well. Ive already started making mods to it weather permitting it still needs a cleaning and so on, i installed a used 79 grill to replace the busted one seen in the pics im also working on a Cooling fan setup and the transmission issue which will be resolved soon! more pics:

2 battery cables Standard brand
2 front brakehoses Bendix
1 Acdelco Transfilter and gasket set

All quality stuff and shipped to me 54.00 bucks!! autozone and Oriellys wanted 23 dollars per brake hose Alone!

I hear you , mine was supposedly rust free, so far two floor pans , one flare , one inner flare, rear sill , partial quarter, bracing between the rear sill and the inner quarters, floor in front of both rear wheels....

Like I said jealous!
