Blazer tank

I'm looking to put a rear gas tank in my waggy. I'd like to use either an rear F150 or blazer tank. Was just at the local picknpull yesterday and there is a plethora of blazer tanks. I know these tanks are popular for the EFI swap guys but anyone use one with a stock carb and know if a compatible sending unit?

Never used one but I'd suspect if it came off an EFI vehicle and has an in-tank pump you'll need a pressure regulator or swap to a different pump. You'll have to dig up the fuel gauge specs from the donor vehicle. Your 89 FSJ gauge requires a sender that reads high ohms full (88) and low ohms empty (0).

Matt,
Before I swapped my 6.0 in I had a 401 and used the blazer tank. I made my own jeep sending unit. In fact I still have it and can give it to you at URE.

I used the stock mechanical pump.

That would be awesome. Just let me know how much you want and I'll have it available. I'm looking forward to seeing that 6.0 swap
