    seat idea

ok i got an idea for a seat for my j-10 and was wondering if anyone has done it and has some pics or input. Ok i want to take a 40-20-40 split bench seat out of a dodge ram and put that in maybe power.

I just measured the 40/20/40 front seat in my 97' Ram 1500, roughly 56.5 inches side to side, dang near the same as my 76' J10. The J10 was 56" with bucketts. However the Ram seat is sitting a bit higher and will need bracketts made probably to lower it down to fit the J10, or your knees will never get under the steering wheel. This is an excellent idea that despite owning both these trucks I had not thought of. Here lately I have discovered there is alot of these Dodges in the wrecking yards. Your main colors to choose from would be Gray and Tan, gray being the most common from what I have seen.
