Disco Dana44 oil pan Question.

I want to change the oil in a Vacuum Disconnect Dana 44 but I noticed the vac motor passes thru the pan. Do I need to remove the vac motor from the pan before removing the pan or will it all come out in one piece. I'm sure I'm over thinking this but I get paranoid when I crack into something I've never worked on before.
