Ideas for the holes in the dash from ashtray and clock

So I have holes in the dash now from the clock and the ash tray.

What have other people done to fill them? I was thinking of some sort of cubby hole that would hold a phone/wallet/etc, but have only just started looking for something since I just now started the work there.

My Cherokees have a clock & ashtray, and the 66, 67 & 69 have two ashtrays.

Im going to be mounting my mini Cobra CB where the ashtray goes eventually. The possibilities are endless for a creative mind though...gauges, switches, cubby hole, A/C heat vents, ect...

There is a factory cover plate for the clock hole, at least on the '70s models. For the radio hole too.

For the unusable/unworking clock I replaced with a nice digital one... Found one to fit nice and snug to be able to change the batteries in the future...
