NP 229

I have a pretty basic question. How do I get the bolt off to check the fluid?

Yup. It's a metric bolt, however. 30 or 33 mm size, IIRC. Search here, I know someone (possibly even myself) posted it.

30mm on mine. Some have used a 1 3/16" SAE socket, which is ever-so-slightly too big. I bought the 30mm just so that I'd have a nagging reminder to change the fluid now and again, sans excuses.

Thanks guys. That's what I needed to know.
