Need some help finding a Yellow and Black FSJ

I've been following a few of the "Painting" threads as of late and remember coming across a Picture of a Really Nice looking "Yellow and Black" FSJ.........I can't seem to find the picture again and was hoping someone could lead me to it..... I'm not sure what it was exactly, GW, Cherokee, etc, or even what year for that matter....It is Awesome though.....It was well lifted, with Big tires, I think all the Normal Chrome was Black along with the Grill and custom front bumper.....Black all along the bottom with what seemed to be possibly "new" extended Black Flares on the fenders. The Black continued to the back and then up to the roof..... It was a really cool looking Jeep..............I know its on this site somewhere, cause I was just looking at it on Monday... so, if you know this jeep let me know... Thanks in advance!!

Nope, although another really Great Looker The Cat is, I'm leaning more twords it being a Cherokee now cause the Black went UP too the roof along the back, but I think the Roof was still Yellow.............I think it was indeed a two door.I think, Not sure though

Yeah I've been all through that particular thread and It's not His Rig... The one I'm refering to is One thats already completed..I was on alot of different threads so possibly had nothing to do with painting.....Pics were taken with the jeep facing the left, the rig had a custom Brush guard in Black, the Grill was black and the Black continues all the way along the bottom of the rig till it gets behind the rear wheels and the turns up to the roof behind the rear most side window... almost looked like Grafics......Had a Black roof rack similar to Catepillers.....This rig Looked possibly BC/CC painted and was very shiny....

Dirtball, I'm Taking a Closer look now and Maybe just Maybe that IS indeed the one I'm looking for......Just a different pic, makes it look different............The one I saw was possibly Their "Signature" Pic, could I look up their pics in a search here and maybe find that pic???.........and I'm sure it had a little different rearend paint sceme....is it possible they redid the grafics??????..................Anyways, do you know if those Flares can be bought?... They make it look so Mean!!!!.................On a different note.... GREAT JOB on your rig Dirtball....seems to have gotten more than a few members here, myself included, motivated to getting our rigs look'n better.... I've decided to park "The Gift" for the winter removing doors and panels and am now doing all the body work (dewooding) spot rust etc. in preperation for a spring paint job myself!!!... If I can steal my dughters Camera I'll try and post my progress pics too.....I did her car last fall and it turned out quite nicely for my first Spray job (homemade Driveway down draft spraybooth and all) Thanks guys /Gals for everything!!!!

Try this link:

http://snow.prohosting.com/heimeken/index.htm

See if you don't find the pics you're looking for.

Thanks for the kind words... it sure makes it worth it when I leave for work every morning and see it as I pull out of the drive. I still have a lot of work to do on it, but it will happen.

Those are XJ flares... small Cherokee... they can be adapted to fit ours. Do a search for flares and you'll find a link to a site that tells you how to put them on. There may also be a link on BJ's site... or maybe Rusty's Offroad is where it is; I can't remember.

Good luck on your searches...

After seeing pix of the Cat then seeing it in person, the pix do no justice. That Jeep is just plain sweet!

I want to do a W/T up like this someday:

I was thinking before that yellow on a wag would look a little school bussy, but that is a FINE looking rig. Maybe it's the SOA/SF & 38s, but dayum! If I go ol yeller, maybe I'll name it Copycat.

Yup, pretty much have made up my mind..... I too am gonna go with Yellow and Black..AGAIN!!!.................It's gonna be sorta like a Steeler Wagon....In the late 70's I had an old VW bettle that needed a Paint job and I painted it to look just like a Steelers Football helmet (Rustoleum Brush and Roller job) and it turned out pretty good... was Quite the conversation piece at the time...... Then five or so years back I painted my S10 all Black and Gold (Yellow) stipes with a Wagner Power painter and thined down Rustoleum to face liftit abit after some rust repairs.............and Now that I'm gonna repaint the GW my wife and kids have Chimed in with the Steeler thyme again..... So Yellow it is.....Wish me luck............ I'm leaning twords Trying to give her the Urethane Basecoat/Clearcoat come spring............Was thinking of Blacking out all the Chrome ..window trim, gutters, grill, mirrors, roof rack and bumpers....all but the door handles...and the rest will be yellow.... with yellow and Black wheels..........should turn out ok.. I think, anyways .............any suggestions on a prep stratagy for priming the chrome before finishes???

Rough it up...

It's funny that we worry so much about chrome (myself included), but if we ever get any overspray on it the stuff WON'T come off... seems like just regular paint wouldn't come off either... lol...
