72 Wagoneer - Isuzu 4BD1T

My last thread was plagued with me not doing pics right, so this is just an update, and hopefully I figured a good method to post pics.

Got a used turbo, but when I went to re-clock it, I found this:

Bought an CAC (intercooler) for a mustang or something. I just went with my best guess for size and turned out perfect. I think if I had one custom built it wouldn't have fit so perfect. And it was only $160.

The new turbo is going to interfere with my vacuum brake booster, so I read a bunch of posts here from Elliot about how to do it. Found a 95 Astro HB, then fabricated an adapter. Works perfect. It did take me about 5 hours though. [edit] - the throw works perfect. I won't know if it actually works until I run hydro lines and take it for a drive.

So I haven't been keeping up a build here, but I have one at 4btswaps if you want to kill some time. http://www.4btswaps.com/forum/showth...-a-72-Wagoneer

I have most of the intake, turbo, intercooler, radiator, motor mounts done.

Bought some wheels and tires that I could use with the stock hubcaps if I want.

Or roll blacked out.

I have the same 4BD Series Isuzu motorS but tweakers stole the starter and Alt off it. They tried for the radiator too but I beat them to it. They ripped the brand new one from my Comanche. Dang old cutoff bug. I have the 4BD2TC motor in my ‘93 NPR box van and my ‘94 GMC W4 Forward Control flatbed. I’m thinking about finding an adapter to mate it to an AW4 or find the bigger version (they are very popular elsewhere in the world and only ‘98 to 2000 had that combo. Many with 1 million miles or more on them)
I hauled my ‘89 F250 on the back of it effortlessly but the lack of tall or double O/D is a pain on the highway and part of my dislike for Jatco transmissions.
