newbie question

hey there. i just bought a 79' cherokee and according to the vin it is a "wide track" chief. just wondering how it differed from others. she needs a bit of work but i'm lookin forward to the projects and learning a lot from you guys. thank you

Just means its 100x cooler than a Narrow Track Chero or Waggy

naw really it has larger fender flares front and rear, to make room for the slightly wider axles under it. WT's are generally a bit more preferable than narrow tracks, but not crazily so.

Yeah pics, vin number for decoding, options, what problems it has, post em up.

well I think wide track are 6" wider then your standard wag and being a wide track you can lift it higher then a Narrow Track.
Your W/T should have 31" tires on it now where my N/T has a 4" lift and 31" tires

Do you know what drivetrane you have yet ??? TH400 with a quardtrack
