    Editing thread titles...

With the old board, the creator of the thread could edit the title of the thread. I may be missing the obvious (wouldn't be the first time), but I see no way to do that now. The reason I ask is I was editing the title of my engine swap thread when I posted updates. Now the last date before the board upgrade seems to be a permanent part of the thread title. Is this an option that can be turned on?

    Thanks,

Click the "Thread Tools" dropdown menu (located at the top of each thread). On this dropdown menu there is an option to "Edit Thread". From there you should be able to rename it.

EDIT: It looks like this is a moderator only option. I'll investigate and see if thread starters can have this ability as well....

If you edit your original thread post and click the "Go Advanced" button underneath the message text box, you will be able to change the title.

I have tried that and it only updates it on the thread under the first post under subject. It doesn't change the title as seen listed with all the other threads..

JeepinPete try to edit this one and see what happens?

Gave it a try, it only edits the individual message title, the thread title is the same...

... checking with vBulletin support. It looks like I can set a time limit after the original post that a thread title can be edited (the default was something like 5 minutes). I'm trying to find out if I can completely disable...
