    1984 J-20 - Jesse Serrano

    J-20\Waggie Hybrid

This J20-Waggie hybrid is my creation, Jesse Serrano. I started the project in PA and have since moved to MO. I always loved the WT's (Wide Tracks, Chero's and J's), however, when it finally came time that I could actually buy an FSJ, I really needed a pickup, though I like Chero WT's better. My only problem was that the J20 only seats two (standard tranny makes three pretty uncomfortable! ) and I have a family of 4. Since it was the only vehicle able to climb the mountain during heavy snow, I would always have to choose who to leave behind. I decided to make some room by fulfilling a dream I have had as long as I can remember- make an extended cab J20. The body is from an 84 Waggie and should be mounted back on the frame by Mem Day Weekend, '01. Stock drivetrain is 360/ T18A/ Dana's 60 Rr and 44 Frt 3.73's w/ 16.5 x 31 x 12.5. I have a 401 and Pro-jection and a set of Mickey Thompson 35x10.5x16's skins and rims on the way. I'll be installing a 4" lift and many other goodies which will be detailed in upcoming articles of "FSJ magazine", so get your subscription now!
