    brake proportioning valve

I can not find a replacement in any of the auto parts stores, online or NAPA. I did see the one at BJs, anyone use it?

    I can't either.

    Never bought one from anywhere.

    I cleaned and reassembled one I had; a type-W from a 1979 J20 I junked out.
I haven't installed it yet so not sure if it will work.

What makes you think your prop valve is bad?

I couldn't get it to reset and gave up and took it to a shop. I didn't think they were rebuildable.

I took mine apart because the o-rings had swelled up and jammed it then I reassembled without it and so far it works fine.
Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental.

Was it one of the universal proportional valves on ebay?

Saved by Summit! Wooohooo! Looks just like the type W on the 1979 and newer FSJ!

Any older GM vehicle with drum/disc combo. Any jeep CJ/YJ .
                  They are the same valve.

Jeep didn't create the supply chain, they just linked into it...............
