Pull into a parking spot at my doctor's office, the steering quits
and the magic smoke drifts up from under the hood.
Yup, smells like burning steering fluid, no flames, since I live
about a mile away from the office, the engine wasn't that hot.
Found out while driving it home that power steering without
the power is WAY worse than just manual steering.
My old El Camino was manual, but I could still parallel park it.
The Impala just refused to turn! I've had my workout for the day.
No, not really, now I get to crawl around under the car in the
driveway fighting with the steering pump. Only 95 today.
Still better than a good day at work.
