It must be nice to have a garage with room in it to work.

The motor mount pics will be up this weekend as I fab the crossmember onto the stock motor mounts. I have them on right now but I put the motor to low. I wanted to keep it as low as possible for the handling aspect and towing but it will be about a inch or two higher after this weekend. As for the garage I like to keep it uncluttered and clear so I can walk around the truck lol. Any parts or anything that is not a tool goes in the shed.

Don't mind the hockey pucks in that one picture I haven't got my mounts yet lol but they work great for mocking everything up.

Dont worry about the pic placement. But if you want to clean it up so its to your liking after you post up you can use the EDIT button at the bottom of that particular posting and once inside it you can copy what you want moved and then paste it where you actually want it, then delete where it was before.

As far as your 6BT goes ... I'M SUBSCRIBED!! You're off to a great start. Keep us updated, with pics too of course.

I'm gonna be picking up my J-truck in short order and after dragging it home begins the slow transformation. My "shop" isnt as clean as yours, but it'll hafta do. I had intended on a 4BTA, but just might make the jump to the 6BTA instead.

Cant wait to see what you have got going on this weekend!

What front springs did you use? Looks like they are holding all that motor up pretty well. You going to go high steer with the SOA front?

Looks like a great build! Good luck. I'd love to swap a 6bt/NV4500 into the wife's truck, maybe I'd stop getting those stupid trans codes then

Camper special J20 springs, they hardly moved when I set the engine in their and seem like they will ride really nice with all the weight. I think those springs had a gvw of like 8400 so I'm not to worried about them. If they do sag I was thinking of running airbags front and rear anyways, a couple of my buddys who did these conversions in chevys say thats the way to go. I haven't got my high steer kit yet but I think i might go with the one from bjs offroad but right now I'm busy with the whole drivetrain set up so that will be last in line.

Here is the engine all mounted up and the crossmember relocated about 6 inches back after I boxed out the frame farther.
