Hey everybody, there's easily about 20 of us in Western WA. We just failed on an epic scale at having a meet n' greet in another thread.

I've lived here seven years in this stretch and three years on my last tour here. In the last seven years I've met face-to-face with two other members; Tripwire and nw_upstart. How about we pull our noses off the grindstone ( I know we all work our butts off) and have a "Welcome Back to Washington" party for Jon?

When he let's us know a date we can work out the details but seriously, interwebs in no substitute for high fives! Who's in?

Maybe I should have a meet at my place in Index or maybe John Meister might hold an FSJfest in Clearview again (near Snohomish)? I'm mobile now.

I'm glad to hear that! Index and Snohomish are well within my driving radius, but I'm speculating we're looking a little further north as the new arrival will be on the big island. Ferry is expensive to Seattle for Jon's new base and the only free route off is through Anacortes. NAS Whidbey is essentially in Oak Harbor.

Depends what I drive. I don't have my truck together right now (I was going to work on it right after cutting down that GGM tree. I'm taking video of it coming down today.

Is that a typo? His sig says you got his name wrong.

Either way, let's all get together soon! Definitely before next Summer!

I was corresponding with John the other day and he mentioned you and setting up another FSJ meet.

                      I'm in for (mostly) whenever.

Well Squidworth, Spongebob's deployment got can-x'd! Even so it looks like I'm leaving the PNW this spring. You still on track to report here later this month? Might pull off a change of command, if you will. There's strong support among the locals.
