I have a 1978 Jeep J-10 with 258 I-6
I see that I have alternator pulley Mis-alignment. The alternator seems to sit out too far (maybe between 1/16 -1/8 inch) also seems slightly twisted. I am purchasing an original mounting bracket thinking that would be a good start to fixing this.
The truck does not have AC and did not have it originally. One part I need is an original Alternator Pulley. Does anyone have one? Has anyone had this problem with this bracket.
I noticed the alternator mounting bracket is very close to and or touching one of the larger mounting bolts for the Timing Cover. Is that normal?
