Build-up of The Nameless...

Decided it was finally time to start a thread to catalog the progress on my wag. I had hoped to come up with some catchy name for it, but sadly I suck with trying to name something and so I thought it'd be better off without one. And ironically a name of sorts was born, "The Nameless"

Over the weekend I was able to finally finish up with a Rhino swap. I think it was worth the wait. Here is the end result.

Still need to freshen up the trim rings of the headlights though. Next steps will be to finally reinstall the carb and fix some vacuum lines then to put a new battery on and finish up some wiring upgrades for the lighting.

Looks great!

I once took a stray to the vet and they called to tell me that "Nonamy" was ready to pick up. When I picked it up I saw the paperwork and No Name was run together on the name line... it was known as "Nonamy" for the next 16 years.

It will name itself one day, either you or someone else will come up with a name that sticks.

Keep us posted on the progress.

They are work lights off the back of the cab on a Peterbilt, and I had a welder i know from work cut out the plates I have mounted up, I then coated them in some bed liner. I will try to snap some pics of the entire light housing when I have a chance. I am looking to get more of them to add on in other areas.

Sadly nothing new to report, it's been rather crazy due to death in the family and with Holidays around the corner. Hope to get something accomplished at the start of the new year.

Been a while since I've made any progress, My lovely wife has just purchased me a new center console to replace the factory jump seat. Looks great in black denim.

I never could name my 1981 Chevrolet C10 either. After I put it together it had a red front left fender, a blue front right fender, an off-white hood with matching doors (fenders on the door donor were trashed), and an olive green army M1008 front bumper with brush guard. I considered CQ (Crazy Quilt) or "Amalgam".

Well in a way it was a big weekend for me, I pulled the trigger and purchased the Edelbrock Pro Flo2 EFI Conversion from Summit. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-35310/ Sure it may be a bit pricey but I like what the kit has to offer, its very well put together and I don't have to source parts to build my own. Pics shall be posted when it arrives and through out install.

Now moving on to other matters. I did more tear down of the J20 Dana 60 i'm going to be swapping and found some disturbing stuff.

First pic is how everything fell after I pulled off hub/drum

Next is a pic of the spreader that goes between the shoes

Next is the parking brake arm

Now finally a pic of the shoes themselves

To top it off the anchor pins on the backin plates look a lil questionable, but I should know more once I get them cleaned up. Didnt think to snap pics however. All springs and other hardware just seemed to have magically vanished.

Finally got around to doing some more wrenching, this time in the form of removing that old boat anchor of an intake and cleaning up the heads. Also installed a shiny fuel pump block off plate. Then proceeded to find out that I was sent the wron pcv valve to go with my new setup, but thats just a minor detail. I now need to get some valve cover gaskets, exh man gaskets and funds willing some dressed up valve covers. Feels good to have made a step in the right direction.

Geez its been way too long since I've done anything productive. Maybe a shipment of parts will get me motivated, let's see what I can come up with shall we.

Yeah, the pics kinda petered out too, which is probably why the posts did as well.

Glad to see you're getting your head back in the game!
