Just curious if a 1984 360 would bolt up to a Turbo 400. Currently it is bolted up to a 727.

yes
you would have to add a spacer/bushing in the crank. You can do it.

I put a 79 that had a th 400 in a 727 80 model with no problem I had to remove the bushing on mine. different flywheel bolted right up. I'm not an expert but I didn't have any issue bolt patterns was identical.

the hub of the T400 torque converter is smaller than the hub of the TC727 converter,which the AMC's were machined for. so a small bushing,looks like a cam bearing,was used in the jeep applications that used the T400 trans,which was thru the 1970's.Originally posted by HankrodRistows right.................again,
