It is coming together a lot quicker than I thought it would. I go out and work on it every day, even if it is only for a short period of time. Thanks all.
Doing a very similar start! live in the salt belt however so the rust is quite a bit more extensive, ill be following your thread as well to keep up on how youre doing and to get ideas on how to further my own as well. Looks like youre quite knowledgeable as well, hope the best!
Holy smokes! those seats are on fire! 195% cool
Looks like great work there. SMS took 10 months to get Sadies seat covers done. And they did not fit. You found a great upholstery guy. Better keep his number.
The seat belt dying was really cool also. RIT is amazing stuff. So the color was black azabache? As in Black azabache seat?

I’d say I feel sorry for you, but I really don’t, Mr. “I-stumble-into-X-models-the-way-most-people-stumble-into-Toyota-Carollas.” 🤣

I am in absolute awe of what you have done with this build. Its definitely set a level of standard that i can only hope to achieve one day, picked up another vehicle to have as a daily so i dont have to worry about down time with mine once i get shop space. Your build is amazing, and your process of learning everything as you go is going to be pretty similar to my build. Ill make sure to keep my build thread as thorough as yours is, and yours will be a reference for mine for the ENTIRE process lol.
Was also looking at a bunch of papers that came with the jeep. Found a build sheet and that was cool. I wanted to see 3.54 gear ratio, but it was 3.07. Great highway gear I guess.
She's lookin great. It won't be long before you are out pounding the pavement in style.
3.07 wouldn't be the end of the world for me. If you are not going to do any heavy towing and want to get out the highway and cruise it will be good. I'm at 4.11's with 33's and kind of wish I had 3.73's now.
