Apparent rust free '79 J10 near Seattle

Thought I would post this for anyone looking for a J10 in what looks like amazing condition.
https://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/c...529440386.html
Just for clarity I think I should let you know this is not my add, I don't know the person and have never seen the truck in person. I have been seeing this truck for sale for months now, the seller started off at some ridiculously high price and has now lowered it to a price I feel is fairly reasonable given that it looks to be rust free except maybe for a little surface rust in the drivers floorboard. It doesn't appear to have moss growing on it so I doubt it has been kept outside much.

Although I don't know it's exact location the town it is in is very close to where I live and it's likely I drive within a mile or two of this truck pretty much every day on my way to and from work. So if someone were really interested in this truck and is some distance away I may be willing to go by and have a look at it and take some good detailed pictures if you make arrangements with the owner so you don't have to drive a long way only to be disappointed. I may even be able to help you load it on a trailer to get it home.

I posted this on FSJ Network and a few FSJ facebook pages. It looks REALLY clean for its age, and I doubt it would take much to get it running. I have several friends I spoken with about this; if I only had more time, money, and space I'd have it.

Thanks!

PS
I spent 7 years up in WA (Ft Lewis) It is truly God's country up there, and I can't wait to get back!

I know if I was in the market I'd at least go have a look at this one. I've enlarged the pix and can't see any rust on the outside, it looks like there might be a little in the floorboards but it's hard to tell. The good bodies are the hard thing to find. I've frequently seen AMC engines for sale cheap because someone upgraded or didn't, just last week one that supposedly ran was on CL for only $150 but I have a feeling this ones engine probably doesn't need much to run.

Time money and space is my issue too, I'd have a whole fleet of things if I only had the space.

Not currently running it says in the ad. I’m not out that way for about a month yet (looking for a ride or vehicle to drive back there for someone from here to there so I can drive mine back East)

Today I was on my way home from work and looked over and noticed this truck sitting in the driveway of a house I drive past nearly every single day. So if somebody is interested in it and needs me to take a look or give them a hand with it, it's simply a matter of turning into their driveway as I drive by, so it's not out of my way at all.

It would be great to know why it doesn't running... Battery, starter, ...

I could be interested by this one. I had ask for the blue honcho, but it is sold.

I don't mind going and having a look if you need me to but don't know how you might work out the money or shipping to France. Yesterday when I drove by I saw a truck with an enclosed trailer in the driveway and didn't see the truck so they may have sold it although the add if still up.

I saw that Honcho, it looked like a really nice truck, I think it probably sold pretty quickly.

A Frenchman with two J10s?!?!? I feel better about the world knowing there are at least two J10s in France and one is getting restored. There is hope for us.

Thanks! Perhaps for a next time
Answering you about shipping: it is not very expensive if you know the right and honest company which can help for us. And perhaps don't you know the US dollar is "good" for us at this time: 1.20 USD = 1 euro

I'm happy to help people when I can.

Last week someone about 2 miles from me posted a Honcho in pretty nice shape for a "I just need to get rid of it price". I saw it minutes after it was posted and thought about buying it just to get it to run and resell but procrastinated too long and missed it.
