    2 emissions questions *Please Help*

Where does the line from the top of the egr go to?

And Do I need to vacuum metal line that runs from the catalytic converter to the driver side (it has a check valve on it and it sits next to the check valve from the air pipes). It connects with the same hoses as the air pipe check valve.

Make sense. My 89 had it but the 87 was removed. So where it connects to the cat on the 87 it was cut and welded shut.

From what i could tell, the tube from the EGR goes to a similar looking diaphragm right beside it (that kind of hangs in the air). Then a vacuum line goes from that to the front of the carb near the base.

A hose runs from the check valve at the top of the cat tube to the bottom oppening of the control valve (the one that blows). For the other two openings: one goes to the air pump and the the other goes to a T that connects the hoses from the injection tubes.

I'll have to check. I thought the hose from the egr went to the back of the air filter housing. Maybe it was hooked up wrong.
