1976 cherokee chief oil cooler

Hey Y'all




I have a 76 Cherokee chief. Recently I had to bypass my oil cooler due to a leak.It sits behind the grille (muscle grille) now either the PO did an outstanding job retrofitting this oil cooler or it is a stock item. it is mounted in the opening in front of the battery but behind the grille. All the pics i have found have round openings there, this one is square.



So did jeep ever offer a oil cooler or is this an after market unit?

Yep. He also did the trans cooler on the other side.

It's aftermarket. I am fairly certain it is a B&M Super Cooler.
