    how to remove flaking paint

I have white wagon wheels, they have been painted yellow. The paint is flaking off and I would like to remove it altogether. Paint scratches off with some effort but it is kind of a PITA. Is there an easy way to remove this yellow paint?
I would like to get the wheels repainted, i really don't want to mess up the original paint so it would be easier to prep for paint.

I've used Pyrox remover paste with great success.

    Unfortunately it takes EVERYTHING off.

Paint on and 15 minutes later wipe everything off with a sponge.

Stripped a 78 Cherokee to bare metal in about 2 hours.

But, with bate metal new primer will stick good...
