Noisy CC transducer, should I just bypass?

The cruise control transducer on my 88 Wag is inoperable. It moves, but has a very annoying squeal. The Speedo cable is two piece, with the servo in the middle, and I have not been able to find a suotable replacement anywhere. The operation of the Speedo is fine, no hangup, no bouncing.

Does anyone have a lead on a comparable unit..... OR..... is it possible to use a 1 piece speedo cable from an older truck.
BTW it is a TF727 trans.

No modifications so far... Yeah, I'll probably keep it stock.

Check the classified section for someone parting out a Grand Wag. Or put up an ad in the wanted section.

I know MattMopar440 is parting out a Grand Wag. PM him to see if he has one.
