    Alive! It's alive! It's alive!

So after many trips to the parts store to get the little bits I needed. I double checked most everything. I should have triple checked a few things. But no serious problems that I couldn't fix.

I have several pictures and I'm going to take more when I clean up. I'll post them in the next couple of days.

    But it's alive and running.

I also just remembered that I confirmed a suspicion I had about an "overheating" problem in the past.

The real problem was that the dip-stick previous owner had put in a much lower temp thermostat. It was just barely getting into operating range during normal driving. When I got up to highway speeds in warm weather, the temp would climb.

With the new thermostat in the new manifold, the temp gets right up to where it should be, which is about as high as it got with the old thermostat.

It's no wonder the truck idled like dookie this last winter. The engine wasn't warm enough.

Well, it'll be warm enough now.

I want to see a video of it running Roy, or next time you're in this area I'd like to see it in person. Great work!

You could come up here tomorrow and help with the transmission swap...
