Woodgrain Molding Trim

Can someone tell me when the trim changed that goes around the wood grain tape? I see some pictures where the trim goes around each door and makes a rectangle and then I see where some just go all the way around all the wood grain tape rom the front fender to the rear quarter??

Yes.

Another question: It appears that some woodgrain is more yellow in color and others are more brown in color. I don't think it is sun fade but I could be wrong.

Thanks
Ed

I think the trim change was a mid-year thing. So you could find a late '86 with the new style trim.

85-86

85/86 were the cross over years. I own one of each. The 85 goes all the way around and the 86 has the uprights on the doors and fenders. I like the 85 style better. I think it looks better.

No, I think it was '86 being the cut off/mid year change. My '86 DOES NOT have trim down the doors, its all one piece
