    Ethanol

So I just forked out $365 for a new Edelbrock 1406 for my J10 - AMC 360. Runs good right out of the box. I filled my tank up to do some cruising around town.
I started thinking about what I just did - I put etanol fuel in my brand new carburetor. I never ever run ethanol in any of my small engines around the house. I wasn't thinking... I dumped all fuel out and filled back up with E-Free. Not sure if its my imagination or not but it seems to start and run better now.

Does anybody run ethanol fuel in their old carbureted engines? This is the first carbureted engine I've run on the road since ethanol was forced upon us.

Thanks for any replies and advice...

Never had any problems running regular gas in my carbed stuff. Just doesn't like to sit with it in there.

Same, H_M_T. I put a dose of StarTron enzyme treatment in mine when I fill up, I don't drive it tons so a tank lasts a little bit and the StarTron counters the ethanol (as I can't find non-English local)

Just do what I do and run Ethanol free Premium fuel in everything you own.

Look for a sunoco distributor but E0 is way beyond stupidly expensive in Socal.

I'm just in the process of going through my '91, replacing all the fuel lines with ones a bit more ethanol resistant.
            Has anyone else done similar?
