    J10 Bed Alignment?

This has bothered me for a while but Ive had so many other things to do on this truck I havn't gotten to this yet. My bed is right at 1/2" off alignment from the cab (see photos). Please tell me something besides the frame being bent could cause this. If so what can I do to fix this? Thanks!

Just loosen the bed mounting bolts and adjust the bed to square it up. They used a rubber pad in-between so you may need to add or delete as you go.

Do you know the status of your body mounts? Are they the original rubber pucks? Maybe the body mounts are original (and sagging/cracked/incomplete) but your bed mounts have been replaced (stiffer poly ones maybe)?

Great thank you. Is there enough play to make up that 1/2" when loosening the bed mounting bolts? The miss alignment is side to side not up and down. Any tips on what tool to use when adjusting the bed bolts? When I originally tighten them it was super difficult to get a big socket or adjustable wrench in there with the side walls of the bracket.

All of the body/ bed mounts are the original rubber.

Maybe I have the wrong bolts in there. If I remember correctly (its been a while I will have to go check) the bolt was a 7/8 or 1" which made it really tight to get the wrench in there. Just to confirm loosening the bolts will allow for side to side movement, correct?

I recently removed a Body Lift. The bolts should be 7/16 x 1.5--ish. There is plenty of slop in the mounts to adjust things. However, there maybe a couple 1/2 x 13 bolts on the bed--the ones with welded nuts. Make sure to keep the rubber pads on the mounts or the bed will Creek when driving. Trust me-I know.
