Not really, as long as it's all there and not hitting the fan. I've ran them broken in two before. Just slap some epoxy on it and call it good.

Not as long as you fix the motor mount that broke it.

X2. And quit using it as a place to put your hand on when you lean into the engine compartment!

Thumbs down Mine has two large cracks...

Been Epoxied several times, but with every job involving taking back or loosening the radiator it gets busted again. Team GW has new ones they say are stronger then originals....but pricey at $114 + shipping. Anybody who knows of another source chime in.

If you're going to salvage the old brittle shroud, before using epoxy I would stop drill the ends of the crack, then drill enough holes along each side so you can sew it together tightly with SS wire. If you use 2 wires and an X stitch you can twist the ends together pretty tight to take any pressure off the crack before using the epoxy.

Cut 'n bend some sheet metal to conform to the curve to go a couple inches past the cracked part. Drill & pop rivet the sheet metal in place. Make sure you use backing washers on the other side.

This is what I did for mine and works fine.

i made one for my duster when i did the engine swap out of fiberglass like that link, it works awsome. it isnt really cheap, but a great solution for a custom application, or one you cant find easily. ill probably do the same for the wagoneer, since i dont have one, and i have plenty of material left fro mthe first time. or go with an electric fan.

Exactly what I did for the GF's Wag as I would never run such a rigged contraption on my Honcho. Turned out pretty nice if I don't say so myself.
