    Softest Lift Leaf Springs

Over the next few months, I'm going to replace my lift springs that was done 20 years ago to find something SUPA-SOFT!

I'm not looking for banana boat Cadillac type feeling, but as close to factory and maybe a tinny-bidy softer.

Skyjacker the best option for 2-4"? I feel like I'd be better off with a manufacture and lifetime warranty than spending a lil' bit more with zero warranty and possible sagging.

What says the community and those of you that have sought after soft rides?

The 4" softride springs were the best I ever had on a FSJ.
Was many years ago and aftermarket stuff has changed a LOT these days.

May want to get a quote for some custom made springs?
There are still several spring makers in the SoCal/LA area.
They weigh the vehicle and ask you what you want...so not cookie cutter one size fits all 76-91 springs.

Dat's what I was thinking. If you want lift springs that ride like stock it's going to have to be custom.

Does anyone have a local Orange County/LA shop in mind or reference?

There's Atlas in City of Industry. Bkilby used them on his Cherokee.

            Oops, too slow.

            Does Deaver make custom springs?

A year ago i put new Skyjackers with 4" lift. Don't buy these if you want a soft ride. (Yes, I put the weight of the vehicle on the springs before tightening the bolts).

If you can separate the leafs, coat each contact surface with slip plate. A friend of mine did that on his M715 springs and the ride was was absolutely incredible.
I put slip plate on all the bottoms of the windows in my build. In the slots for the lifting pin. It makes a difference.

I have a 5" front Long Spring system that Im getting ready to market that is softer than any short [47"] spring out there and has 10-12" of axle travel. It replaces the spring mounts, shock/bump-stop mounts, pitman arm and requires a Long Travel front drive shaft. Its more expensive than the basic spring kits but less than a Sky Jacker system. The front system should be between $1200-$1400. A 4" block for the rear is very affordable to level the vehicle.

I have the skyjacker 4" softrides with bilstein 56xx and they ride softer than the old factory springs with monroe's that were on there when I bought it.
