    AMC20 replacement bolts

Gonna replace the gasket on the rear diff, it has been suggested that I replace the torx bolts with hex head bolts. I'd like to get the bolts before I start because I won't be anywhere near parts/hardware store to take a torx in to match up with new bolts.

Anyone know the size & thread count of bolts I will need to get?

I don't know the size but just pull one out, measure the length and dig into your used nuts and bolts stash and find a nut that spins onto it. Then just replace the torx for the time being and take the nut with you to the parts house.

That would be the common-sensical way to do it, but due to circumstances beyond my control I don't have access to my stash. May be a dumb question, but can I pull one of the upper ones out and drive a few miles without springing a leak?
