Throttle cable

I’m in a predicament. I’m at the silver lake sand dunes and and having a great time. Only problem is my skinny pedal has no tension with the cable. The cable has slack and no idea why. On the top of the gas pedal the cable has about two inches of play. The stop is on the end of the cable and I’m not sure if it is in the right position or if it has slid to the end. Can anyone give me an idea of what I’m looking for?

i had the same issue, i simply took some stiff baling wire and wrapped it round and round on the cable between the pedal and the spacer ( kinda like a add on spacer) to take up the slack...you will see what i mean....

Did this "happen" or has it been like this? I had the exact same symptoms when i went from 4bbl to 2bbl and had my throttle cable bracket was mounted on the wrong holes.

Thanks for the replies. I did not have WiFi to check or see any responses. The bracket had slid towards the cab while excessive forces may have been laid upon the skinny peddle. It only took six of us to figure it out.

Btw if you have never been to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes on the West cost of Michigan you need to. Over the last three years several non-off road friends have tried it and are hooked.
