    J2500 Gladiator- Clutch Parts, etc.

I put my newly-rebuilt Dauntless 350 back in my J2500 over the weekend. Figuring out the valve train oiling version and sourcing the clutch throwout bearing, fork and dust boot was a real PITA. To save future FSJers with the Buick 350 from the same grief, I would like to offer out the following part numbers:

    Throwout bearing BCA R1625C
    Dust boot Napa #615-1191

I can also answer questions regarding pre and post 1969 Buick 350 engine head and valve train differences as it relates to valve train oiling.

I am sooo happy to have my new engine back into a newly-detailed engine compartment. Now to get it running...

Anyone interested in pics, please let me know.

I live in bonsall and I am just starting to 'recommission' a 1970 J4000. do you remember any of the stuff you referenced way back then? I could use an idea or 2 for my 350 and the reassembly.

Pretty long shot that Stork08 is even going to see this...their last post was almost 9 years ago.

Best of luck to you, there are a lot of resources around (both here and elsewhere) for the Buick 350, keep searching.

There is a dealer parts catalog here http://oljeep.com/edge_parts_man.html that covers the 350-equipped trucks. If you need a specific part, go there and look up the Jeep Corp part number. Then cross-reference that to exact matches on RockAuto or at your local parts store. This is your best route to an exact match.

If that does not work, search the net using "Jeep" and the part number. Or search through the forum's old posts using Google or Bing and a few select key words. Or finally, post up here and ask about sources or possible work-alikes.

V8Buick.com is one source for info on the 350. TAPerformance is a source for parts, including their own grooved cam bearings. Mine really responded well to swapping out the 2bbl for a TAPerf 4bbl intake and Edelbrock carb. Also HEI and seven blade clutch fan with homebrew shroud.
